All Hands On Deck
13/04/08 17:28
It was all hand on deck this time for the beginning
of the Set Build - first stage was to finish building
the backdrop and paint it black. The backdrop is made
up of reclaimed cardboard and all paint where
possible has been sourced from the recycle centre.
While the weather outside was going through all seasons in a day we kept the pace (and warm) with Nik's (Microwave) latest mix playing on the stereo. Just a short lunch break to refuel with home-made pasta, we kept going until the sun set and the paint ran out! Feel free to check out the video below and the photo gallery from the day.
Lots more work to do, keep tuned for further updates!
P.S. We now have a new website address. Please update your bookmarks!

Building Set One
12/03/08 20:29
And it is official! We are now in production!
This past weekend a bunch of us went to the location and started building the set. For now we have the foundation that is built from found wooden platforms, wooden boards, and cartons. The dimensions are 288 in length by 245 in width. We also started sorting out all the non recyclable items we have gathered and oh man….we have a lot to work with.
Check out the Pictures and tune in for more info in the next couple of weeks.

Collecting The Non-Recyclables
10/03/08 20:45
After a few weeks of planning and location finding,
we are now collecting non-recyclable items to make up
the set. The Creative Director and Set Designers have
been busy with their ideas but we needed some key
items to get started!
This 3 minute video documents the collection of the non-recyclables at the recycle centre and transporting the ‘goods’ back to the set location. The recycling centre sorts waste into their specific groups to process, items that are non-recyclable but reusable are made available for collection by the public rather than filling up landfill sites - all good news for the environment.
The other 6 or 7 hours of the day were taken up by either traveling or waiting for public transport, come on Ken - lets get those buses running on time so we have a viable alternative to the car!
